The Glass Box Studio was born of a need for a venue that would fulfill a key aspect of the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum’s mission: to enhance lives through art, providing visiting artists with a place to participate in educational events and a proper art-making space to work in.
At approximately 2,200 square feet, the Glass Box Studio's crown jewel is the main 1,500 square foot glass-filled and high-ceilinged open work studio that provides a strong, cohesive connection between inside and outside spaces.
In 2024, the Glass Box Studio won a BUILD Wisconsin Award in the Commercial category for New Construction Less than $5 Million.
